What is it?
Reflexology feels like a massage on your hands & feet. Your reflexologist uses a gentle but firm pressure on the reflex areas on your hands & feet. This pressure sends signals throughout your body targeting all body systems. Specifically reflexology:
-Releases natural, internal chemicals such as endorphins, causing an analgesic effect (relief of pain).
-Relaxes tense muscles which allows your body to release stored up toxins.
-Enhances circulation, speeding up the overall healing process.
-Stimulates nerves, helping your different physical components to work together and function healthily.
What does a session consist of?
(1) Soak your hands or feet in a warm soothing essential oil bath which serves three key functions: (A)Cleanliness (B)Soften the nervous system in your hands or feet (C)Help you relax (the more you relax the more effective a session will be for you)
(2)Sit back and relax in a zero gravity chair reducing the stress on your spine and with your feet up your heart can work less and you can relax more.
(2)Sit back and take a deep breath as you enjoy a session of total relaxation. Your body will thank you.
The Nurse – I am devoted to promoting health and helping people. My focus is on relaxation. We need to take time to rest in order for our bodies to heal. Reflexology focuses on the whole being- body, mind and soul. I have clients who ask for reflexology to help boost their immune system especially during the cold and flu season; some get relief from tight tense muscles; others experience relief from neuropathy pain; and some enjoy a few moments to lower their stress level. Reflexology is a wonderful way to promote health- physical, mental and spiritual.
